GEMS Community Aquathon PYP & MYP- details


The following swimmers are joining the Aquathon Competition tomorrow, January 18th from 3:30-5:00pm. Please be aware of the following:

 

1-All swimmers should meet me at 2:15 near the indoor sports hall.

2-Swimmers must bring PE kite, Swim kite, trainer shoes  and water bottle.

3-Parents please pick up your child at 5:00pm from GEMS World Academy or 5:30pm from GIS.

The competition’s fee is 70AED + VAT for each swimmer. Each participant collects a medal for completion.

Results will be published online after the event with points for all age group placers with a overall winner for each age group at the end.

The Aquathon consists of a Run, Swim, Run. Different distances for different ages:

6-7yr olds: Run 400m | Swim 25m (kick board allowed)| Run 400m

8-9yr olds: Run 400m | Swim 25m (kick board allowed)| Run 400m
10-11yr olds: 
Run .800m | Swim 50m | Run 400m
12-13yr olds: 
Run 800m | Swim 100m | Run 800m
14-15yr olds: 
Run 1600m | Swim 200m | Run 800m
16+ yr olds: 
Run 1600m | Swim 400m | Run 1600m
Faculty & Parents: 
Run 1600m | Swim 200m | Run 800m (FREE ENTRY)
